2010 TECHART PORSCHE PANAMERA BLACK EDITION
German tuning house Techart has unveiled a surprisingly tasty cosmetic-only package for Stuttgart’s new four-door sports saloon. Aptly named “Black Edition”, Techart’s Porsche Panamera proposal is wrapped in a matte black vinyl.
Exterior is attractive not just with that alone, it also comes with the company’s Aerodynamic Kit I that includes side skirts, aprons, spoilers and daytime running lights, as well as with 22-inch alloy wheels in a black shade, new break calipers and a sport exhaust system with four tail pipes.
Porsche Panamera Black Edition by Techart enhanced inside the car cabin with high-quality black leather combined with alcantara as well as hand-sewed decorative stitching and leather piping in flamenco red. In addition, numerous interior components like trims, door entry guards, cup holder and the air vents are finished in a matte black design.
CITROEN METROPOLIS CONCEPT
Citroen will take to the stage at the Shanghai World Fair next month with an all-new concept luxury sedan designed at its Shanghai-based international design team. The sleek four-door Metropolis concept car emits just 70 g/km of CO2 thanks to a plug-in hybrid powertrain and what Citroen calls a Hydractive suspension.
Under its long hood, the Metropolis features a 2.0-liter V6 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. At lower speeds, the car uses an electric motor that provides a continuous 55 horsepower but can peak at 95 ponies. The V6, used for higher speeds, cranks out 272 horsepower, but the gasoline and electric powertrains can combine for bursts of 460 horsepower for high-speed passing and acceleration. The car can also be switched between two and four-wheel-drive.
