Here we just want to share a video of Perodua MPV Spotted spreaded widely online through youtube. Eventhough this video has been around quite a long time ago, we decide to put it here just for kdi readers info. Basically the upcoming Perodua MPV is based on Toyota Passo Sette & Daihatsu Boon Luminas which will be fitted with 1.5 litre engine with smaller space than exora. The new Perodua MPV probably will be the close competitor to Nissan Grand Livina 1.6 & Toyota Avanza 1.5.

The Perodua MPV expected to be launched on November this year. The design if you would like to imagine, is not much differ from Perodua Myvi except it is a 7 seater slightly bigger MPV. Perodua will try to “edit” the MPV Perodua because they not yet have the capability of self design the Perodua MPV.

Looking at the Perodua MPV above passing by a Perodua viva, we can have a clear comparison in terms of size there. And don’t expect too much changes on the Perodua MPV exterior design. All Perodua vehicles model assembled in Malaysia now just look like the same. Only differ in size and other spec like engine & additional features.

All variants of the Passo Sette and the Boon Luminas are powered by the 1.5 liter 3SZ-VE engine putting out 109 PS at 6,000rpm and 141Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. Both front wheel drive and 4WD variants use a 4-speed auto, and the front wheel drive version fuel consumption is rated at 15.6km per liter under the 10-15 Japanese test cycle. With the kerb weight of 1170 kg.

the compact Toyota Passo Sette dimension size measures 4,180mm long, 1,695mm wide and 1,620mm tall, with a long 2,750mm wheelbase to maximize the interior space which is 2,550mm long. The Boon Luminas CX with a bodykit is slightly longer at 4,195mm. Other dimensions that Toyota has provided include a 1,630mm space between the front and rear seat rows, a 150mm split seat slide for the middle row, a wide 935mm rear door opening to ease getting in and out, and a 630mm hip point for the driver to also aide ingress and egress

The interior looks small and maybe can fit only 6 person with comfortable space. Looking at the rear 3rd row, maybe only for children. But this Perodua MPV is an affordable MPV of course.
