Mazda had released another variation of their most successful roadster the MX-5. The new model is called Superlight Concept and yes, it is currently a concept, not yet a production model.
The superlight MX-5 were designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the MX-5/ Miata. It features a racing inspired exterior minus the windscreen meaning you have to use a helmet to drive the roadster.Other changes include a revised front end, integrated air scoops (that serve as roll-over bars), a streamlined profile, and a Mazdaspeed dual exhaust system.
The roadster only weigh at 2,195 pounds (995 kg) and with a 126 hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, the car accelerates from 0-100 kmh in just 8.9 second and in the same time, wont hurt your wallet much in term of fuel consumption.
