JAGUAR XKR AT THE 2009 GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED WITH 530HP V8.
One of our editor already brought to you a news about the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed which is to celebrate Audi’s 100th anniversary. For your information, every year there will be a Festival of Speed in The United Kingdom namely the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Our editor, Azameel already did a story about a monumen which was specially built to celebrate Audi’s 100th anniversary. The Audi monument was designed by Gerry Judah which weighs 40 tonnes and 35m tall. It takes two 100 tonne crane and a total of four weeks to raise the monument. The design looks simple but actually it was a very complex design because the structure has to be rigid and completely balanced without the need for hundreds of supporting props.

Today, we want to bring to you about Jaguar’s special edition XKR.It is one-off performance model that was purposely built for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It was painted in an extremely distinct lime-green color while the coupe also featured special exterior graphics in gray and orange.
What’s more is that Jaguar’s engineers fiddled around with the XKR’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that in standard form makes 510HP and 625Nm or 461 lb-ft of torque launching the sports coupe from standstill to 96km/h in 4.6 seconds. In the XKR Goodwood Special, output is lifted to 530 horsepower and torque to 700Nm or 516.2 lb-ft.
As well as performance enhancements and a tweaked exhaust system for a louder and more intimidating sound, this one-off XKR, based on a 2010 model year production version, has 21-inch wheels, a lowered suspension and the satin graphite detailing to the front grilles, door mirrors, rear signature blade, side window surrounds, headlights and bonnet louvres.
The XKR ‘Goodwood Special’ is described as a one-off to explore the harder side of the XKR’s character.
