Hyundai had revealed the latest addition of the ‘i’family the Hyundai i20 3-door far early than its actual release date. Despite the initial details, Hyundai will still unveil their i20 3 doors to the public at the Geneva Motorshow.
The Hyundai i20 3-door is built on the same 2.525mm wheelbase as the 5-door model,
but weighs 10 kilograms less. The Hyundai i20 3-door also offers a lower entry price with the 1.2 Classic model starting at 8,195 pounds.
Positioned between the successful i10 and i30 models, the i20 three-door shares many of its styling features with the five-door. In fact the front and rear remains unchanged, but the distinctive crease lines that run along each side are enhanced by the longer front doors and the sporty, upswept shape of the rear-side win
The i20 three-door measures in at 3.94m in length, 1.71m across, and 1.49m in height, and features space for five occupants. Standard features include six airbags, active head restraints, and an MP3 capable stereo with USB connection.
Powered by the 1.2 liter Kappa petrol engine the Hyundai i20 3-door delivers 78PS and 119Nm of torque.The 1.2 liter is said to offer great driveablity to the driver. In the meantime, the fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission will be kept low.
The Hyundai i20 3 door will be introduced to UK showrooms in April with no news yet whether it will reach Malaysia or not.
