Previously, we had published an article on the making of the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi. But at that time details were still blurry.All we know is the Ferarri theme park would promises hours of endless fun especially to motorsport or Ferrari fans.
Few weeks ago, the Italian auto maker had published the first set of pictures revealing one of their rides, the Formula Rossa Rollercoaster. And like how Ferrari like to do it, the ride would be the fastest of its kind.
According to them, the Formula Rossa ROllercoaster would take the occupant to speed up to 240km/h or 149 mph. Before reaching this speed the rides would put the rider an intense 1.7Gs of acceleration ( that will make you feel 1.7 times heavier) accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2 seconds. Yes, faster than any Ferrari ever built.And the best part is, rider will have to wear safety goggle because of the high wind speed during its top speed.
Here’s what the Prancing Horse company had to say about the park: “Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will pay tribute to the passion, excellence, performance, and technical innovation that Ferrari has established over the years and represents today. Its iconic sleek red roof is directly inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body, spanning 200,000 m² and carrying the largest Ferrari logo ever created.”
It seems as if this is more than just a Ferrari theme park though, because for Italy Ferrari is more than just a car builder; it’s an automotive ambassador of the country.
