OH GOD! I hate when it comes to the situation when i found my car tyre is punctured! Huh! Why i write this tips? Because i’ve just changing my punctured tyre caused by a nail! uh! I didn’t realize it for a few minutes i driving. But after that i realize that the performance of the car is too bad. I suspected something wrong. then when i try to steer the steering wheel, i found that it responds badly like swinging, not sharp turn and if you are in high speed, you may lose control. Thats the sign of damage of your tyre. So i stop at the road side and saw my left hand back tyre is punctured.
HOW TO REPAIR TYRES? CHANGING PUNCTURED – DO IT YOURSELF!
So, i need to do something. Luckily before this i already had the experience in changing the punctured tires. So i decided to drive the car slowly to my home because its not so far from there.
If you are changing it anywhere, the most important thing is don’t be panic. I know some of us will easily be panicked when it comes to car technical stuff especially girls. just follow my simple steps and you are doing well then.
Firstly, park your car properly. Go to your car bonnet and take out the cover of your spare tyre. Screw out the nut that hold your spare tyre in place. Take out your spare tyre and the car screw jack.
Put your screw jack at the side nearest to your punctured tyre under the body frame specified for jack which is the jack point. You will see at the screw jack, there is a slot. You must fit the slot under the jackpoint like the picture below.
Then use the handle of screw jack to screw the jack clockwise until the jack is up to the point where you see the tyre is already not touching the ground. Make sure you pull your handbrake to the maximum. If you are going to change front tyre, make sure you loosen the nut first before you jack the car so that the front wheel will not steer while you try to loosen it for the first time.
Then use the special socket spanner to open your tyre. You will found all this tools inside your bonnet. If you have a rim cover, open it first by just pulling it out of the rim. Then place the spanner to the nut of your tyre.
Losen it by turning anti clockwise for one turn only for each of the nut at the first time. Then screw to open it fully. Take out your tyre and change with your spare tyre at the same place.
Put all the nut and screw it clockwise to tighten. If you feel hard to tighten it, just use your weight to untighten or tighten it by step on the spanner with your foot. Put back the wheel cover. Screw the jack anti clockwise slowly and put all the stuff back into your bonnet.
Then you are done! I did it in just 15 minutes. Its easy and i believe you can do the same. Don’t forget to go to nearest workshop and ask them to paste / close back the hole in your punctured tyre and change the tyre back with that spare tyre.
Happy changing your punctured tyre!!! =p haha…
Jom komen!
