Kuala Lumpur, June 15 — Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd expects an increase in customers following the launch of the latest addition to its V-Power fuels, the Shell V-Power 97.
At the launching ceremony here Tuesday, its Managing Director, Azman Ismail said the product is designed to give motorists improved power and performance for any car they drive at the regulated RON 97 pricing of RM2.05.
He also said the Shell V-Power 97 was launched based on feedback from Malaysian customers for a performance fuel.
“The Shell V-Power 97 is designed to improve acceleration by reducing friction between moving parts in the engine, thus releasing more energy to drive the vehicle.
“Moreover, it boasts of the same Friction Modification Technology (FMT) additive as used by Shell for Ferrari in Formula One races,” he added.
Azman said the new product also differs from other fuels as it keeps on cleaning the engine as the car is being driven and is mainly for higher enhanced performance.
He said the Shell V-power 97 is now available at more than 750 Shell stations nationwide, replacing the RON97 fuel grade at the pump.
The Shell V-Power racing fuel will continue to be sold at over 40 stations in the Klang Valley and Johor.
