Chevrolet distributor Hicom-Chevrolet Sdn Bhd has designated Sanjeev Garg as its new chief executive officer to replace Yukontorn Wisadkosin.
The latter completed her term on December 31 last year, Hicom-Chevrolet, a subsidiary of General Motors, said in a statement yesterday.
Prior to the appointment, Garg was GM operations director for India.
He first joined GM India (Pte) Ltd in 1996 as the sales manager for North India, before being promoted to general manager for services and parts by 2000.
By 2003, he was director of sales for cars and parts in charge of India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Between 2004 and 2007, Garg was posted in Dubai to oversee GM Middle East as the regional service, after-sales and quality manager responsible for 11 countries.
Hicom-Chevrolet now has seven sales and services centres and plans to make it 15 by next year.
