RENAULT TRUCKS TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY VOLVO GROUP SOON

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 (Bernama) — Renault Trucks believes the best way to help their customers and to promote their brand in the future will be through Volvo Group network in Malaysia, their distributor since 2001.

Today marked the official launching of Renault Trucks within Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s network.

Renault Trucks customers will be able to enjoy technical services via the wide and extensive network that Volvo Trucks has throughout the country.

Renault Trucks will not compete with Volvo Trucks but will focus more on off-road segments where there is potential market in the mining and quarry business, logging and car carrier.

Last year, the group sold about 350 trucks (Volvo and Renault Trucks), said Eric Leblanc, Managing Director of Renault Trucks Malaysia (also managing director of Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd) on Thursday.

Renault Trucks sales and services are now available in Shah Alam, Prai, Johor Bahru and Kuching.

Dai Lieng Machinery has been appointed as a private dealer to operate Renaults Trucks dealership and services outlets in Miri and Bintulu in Sarawak as well as Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan in Sabah.
