RECALLS FOR TOYOTA PRIUS REGARDING ITS ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM ISSUES
KUALA LUMPUR, — UMW Toyota Motor will be initiating a special service campaign to address the brake issue of Toyota Prius.
President Kuah Kock Heng said the company’s technicians are being trained to undertake corrective measures.
“To-date there are over 60 units of the third generation Toyota Prius sold since its launch in October 2009,” he said in a statement Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Toyota Motor Corporation Japan announced to conduct a recall campaign related to the software programme that controls the anti-lock braking system in Toyota Prius.
He said UMW Toyota Motor will contact Prius owners on the special service campaign that will be available from Friday and Prius owners will be given first priority.
“For customers who have booked their Prius or are interested to purchase a Prius, we would like to assure you that all Prius models will go through the corrective measures before delivery,” he said.
He also apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by this predicament.
