PROTON EDAR TO WORK TOGETHER WITH EON
KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 — Proton Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Proton Edar Sdn Bhd, entered into a new Master Dealership Agreement with Edaran Otomobil Bhd today, for the rationalisation of the sales and distribution between both companies.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Proton said the objective was to improve, develop and strengthen the distribution and service dealer network while allowing parties to rationalise and achieve cost reduction.
Under the proposed rationalisation, all of EON’s 65 sales dealers and 152 service dealers will be offered a new sales and service dealership by Proton Edar.
All EON sales and service branches have to comply with Proton’s corporate identity or to such other directions of Proton Edar, to reflect a standardised single brand.
