The photos featured here is the work by a design student, Matt Jones. The car has been featured at the 2009 Degree Show at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, UK. By looking at the design, it is obvious that the styling is heavily influenced by the Nissan GTR.
The main highlight of the concept car is the removable front and rear roof panels.When the panels is removed, the 2 door sports coupe will become a KTM X-Bow like track car.
The designer says that aside from lowering the weight of the sports car and (supposedly) improving its aerodynamics, a key aspect during the design development of the Nissan R-TX concept was the driver’s emotions.
As many other concept study, there is very little chance that the car will make it into production line. But at least we got a glance of what might we have in the showroom in the future.
