The bold lines accentuate a razor-sharp body and sleek frame. A newly-designed front honeycomb grille and front bumper, multi-reflector head lamps, flared fenders and squared shoulders reinforce the refined rugged spirit of the Grand Vitara.

The short front overhang, wide treads, boldly flared fenders and wide tires enhance the stable appearance. The wide and low stance permits confident manoeuvring and road holding.

Although the rugged appearance is maintained, the Grand Vitara is sleek and stylish due to its refined design details.

Body side sills are hidden behind the extended lower door edges to create neat, flush body contours while easing cabin access on the wider-tread body.
The Grand Vitara’s interior is sporty yet elegant with flowing, rounded contours and smooth interior surfaces that please the eye and the touch. Convenient features expand the user-friendly functions.

Refinements in the new interior design include a tasteful predominantly black cabin that expresses the Grand Vitara’s sporty SUV nature, while burnished silver-metallic accents are exquisitely fitted to exude a classy feel that will enhance pride of ownership.

The dynamic cockpit environment includes 3 large cylindrical meters with metallic surrounds that are easy to read and gives an exhilarating experience while driving the Grand Vitara. The new meter cluster now features an integrated information display to provide the driver with accurate vehicle information.

The Grand Vitara features a standard in-dash 6-CD tuner with MP3/WMA player and a steering wheel that incorporates illuminated audio controls to ease operation without distracting driver attention from the road. Another quality feature is the newly-designed air-conditioner panel complete with a fully automatic air-conditioning system that maintains the ideal cabin ambience for increased driving enjoyment.

The key to the all-round performance of this third-generation model is a uniquely constructed lightweight monocoque body with what Suzuki calls a “Built-in Ladder Frame”.

Strategic reinforcements of the rugged “Built-in Ladder Frame” improved overall rigidity without undue increase in weight, creating greater resistance to twisting and bending and realizing the full potential of the newly-developed all-wheel independent suspension.

The front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension system ensures a smooth and responsive driving experience. The braking system now comprises of front and rear ventilated discs, thus reinforcing the handling with confident stopping power.

The new Grand Vitara comes with a 2.0-litre 16-valve DOHC engine that provides the optimal combination of power, torque, fuel efficiency and quiet, smooth response.
To top off the superb running stability and excellent ride comfort, the unitary design of the “Built-in Ladder Frame” also contributes to greater safety collisions.

With the reinforced cabin structure and front and rear impact-absorbing crush zones, the rigid body construction effectively disperses impact energy to help protect the occupants.

Head-impact protection is built into all pillars and upper interior surfaces in the Grand Vitara cabin to reduce head injuries in the unlikely event of an accident.
