NEW FORD GT PACKS 600 HP
Ford is currently undergoing a renaissance. It was the only Big ‘Three’ US automaker to make it through the Global Financial Crisis without resorting to public funds. Under the ‘One Ford’ model, the company is gradually emerging stronger from the crisis, with portfolio restructuring and platforms culling slowly showing results.
This time though, it will have hybrid power and has Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren in its sight. The new GT will come equipped with an arsenal of some of the most advanced automotive technology available to deliver massive straight-line performance.
Unlike its predecessor which borrowed its styling heavily from the original GT40 racer of the 60s, the latest interpretation is likely to dispense with the retro body styling and get a sharper and more modern look. The new car is set to feature a huge front air intake, angular headlights and vents in the bonnet and flanks.
LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO SPECIAL EDITION
Another day, another variant of Lamborghini’s highly desirable Gallardo. This time, it’s more visual than technical. The new comer is called the Bicolore and comes in a range of two-tone paint options.
Revealed at the Qatar Motor Show, the car is available in Giallo Midas (yellow), Arancio Borealis (orange), Grigio Telesto (grey), Bianco Monocerus (white) or Blu Caelum (blue). The roof comes in the colour of your choice as long as it’s black.
There’s also 15 spoke Skorplus alloy wheels finished in titanium grey enamel, similar to those found on the Belboni. The air-intakes and front and rear spoilers are finished in gloss black.
As for the interior, the black leather seats now come with contrast stitching that matches the body colour.
Based on the LP560-4 Gallardo, the Bicolore is powered by a 5.2-litre direct-injection V10 generating 552bhp driving all four wheels. Century sprint is unchanged at 3.7 seconds and an electronically govern top speed of 250km/h.
Jom komen!
