The new facelift Ford Focus had reached our shore recently and it had been succesfully launched byAuto ConneXion.There is two version that had been launched by them which is the 5 door sport hatchback ;Focus Sport and the 4 door sedan; Ford Focus Ghia.Both of the car is powered by the 143bhp and 185Nm 2.0l Duratec engine.And the engine is mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift.Externally, the revised Focus gets a complete new front end – there’s a new bumper, bonnet, upper grille (replete with a larger blue oval badge) and headlamps, as well as front fenders with meatier, bolder arch bulges.At the back on the hatch, a revised, larger windscreen translates into a more pronounced horizontal contour line, and the Ford badge is now positioned lower and is incorporated into a liftgate moulding. Also new, a body coloured roof spoiler, rear bumper and long, clear tail lamps.
The interior is almost the same as the previous model except for some minor changes. A Leather covered steering wheel and wood grain details had been introduced where the remote audio control for the 6 disc cd changer can be found.A Dual Zone Climate Control is available to create the perfect ambient for the comfort of passengers.Safety had not been compromised as both model will features a dual airbag for the driver and the passenger.
The Focus Ghia and Focus Sport will roll on a set of 16 inch wheel wrapped up in a 205/55 R16 rubbers.However a 17 inch wheel is available as an option.Other features of the car include the Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension for improved handling and Electro-hydraulic power steering to gives total control of the car.And to keep the car from loosing control in a a wet or rough terrain an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) is had been istalled to give both the passenger and driver a peace of mind.
Colours available for both of the models is Diamond White, Panther Black and Moondust Silver, with unique shades being Racing Blue for the hatch and Infra Red and Ocean for the sedan.And the price for the Sedan Focus Ghia is RM112,897 and the hatchback sport focus is RM113,897 (on-the-road without insurance, Peninsular Malaysia).
