NASIM SDN BHD TO OPEN THE FIFTH PEUGEOT 3S CENTRE IN IPOH
KUCHING, Oct 9 (Bernama) — Nasim Sdn Bhd, the franchise holder of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, plans to open up its fifth Peugeot sales, service and spare parts (3S) centre in Ipoh by end of this year.
Its sales division senior manager, Lionel P. Jayasinghe said the total investment for the new 3S centre in Perak had not been ascertained yet but it is expected to be operational before Christmas.
“We are also looking into the possibility of opening a similar centre in Sabah,” he told reporters after today’s opening of the Nasim Peugeot 3S centre in Kuching, the first in East Malaysia.
Apart from Kuching, the existing Nasim Peugeot 3S centres are located in Shah Alam, Johor Baharu and Juru.
Nasim, a member of the Naza group of companies, had invested RM500,000 in the Kuching centre to ensure a greater presence in the East Malaysian market, Lionel said.
He said the new centre was able to service 12 cars daily and has targeted to sell 15 Peugeot vehicles in the first six months.
On the sales of Peugeot models, Lionel said sales was up by 50 per cent this year due to the growing number of dealers and branches nationwide.
He said by end of this year, sales of various Peugeot models was expected to exceed 4,000 units.
He added that sales was expected to increase further increase next year with more new Peugeot models entering the market.
