Even the Lotus Elise is lightweight and fast in the track, sometimes the power from the Toyota sourced engine is not enough.Some may want to push their Elise to the absolute limit but with that Naturally Aspirated 2ZZ-GE engine, will let them down.How to remedy it? Supercharged the engine with the Lotus Supercharger kit.
Compatible with any Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine the Lotus supercharger kit boost engine output from 189hp to 218hp and torque from 133 ft-lbs to 155 ft-lbs. Torque also comes on earlier at just 5000 rpm (as opposed to 6800 rpm in the naturally aspirated mode) to deliver a stronger powerband.
The kits use the same supercharger and integrated intake manifold as what’s found on the Elise SC. They work with new high-flow fuel injectors and a re-programmed engine management control unit to boost output. They can be fitted to any Elise or Exige with the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine.

While Lotus has not announced pricing yet, the British firm said that the Supercharger Kit is available for purchase and installation at all authorized Lotus dealers in the U.S. and Canada.
