HONDA MALAYSIA NAMES NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CEO
KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd today announced the appointment of Toru Takahashi as its new managing director and chief executive officer with immediate effect.
He takes over from Atsusuhi Fujimoto who has become managing director of Honda Automobile Thailand Co Ltd, Honda Malaysia said in a statement.
Takahashi has more than 30 years of experience in Honda since 1977, and his diversified portfolios within the company made him a solid Honda personage, the company said.
He has played vital roles in the sales and marketing department of different businesses such as automobiles, motorcycles and power products across various regions, it said.
“Takahashi also brings with him a wealth of experience in the global automotive industry, having served markets outside Japan like Asia Oceania, North America, the Middle East and Africa,” it added.
“I look forward to working closely with our business partners here to achieve Honda’s principle of providing products of the highest quality at a reasonable price and to achieve top customer satisfaction in Malaysia,” Takahashi said.
