- FLEXIBLE LED STRIP LIGHT
LED strip light are becoming famous among car modifiers due to its ability to add a “wow” factor on the car. So here we are going to share some info regarding how to install LED Strip light or lamp. We will tell you simple wiring steps to make sure the LED strip light installation successful on your car. There are a lot of LED strip light type. But the most common are the flexible bulb LED strip like above and the flexible flat LED strip light. Flexible bulb LED strip light offer brighter light than the flat LED strip. You can buy the LED strip between RM25 to RM100 depending on the length of the LED strip that you want to buy
FLEXIBLE LED STRIP LIGHT WIRING INSTALLATION TIPS
To install the LED strip light on the headlamp, make sure you have the LED strip, wiring selotape and a cutter. This wiring installation of LED strip light will connect the LED strip light to the small bulb on the headlamp. It means that when you switch on your lamp, the LED strip light will illuminate with the small lamp on the headlamp. So please look at the red mark circle on the above picture. There is the small bulb of the headlamp and you must remove it by turning the bulb holder around 90 degree anti clockwise and pull out the bulb holder
- FLEXIBLE LED STRIP LIGHT WIRING INSTALLATION TIPS
You will see the bulb holder and the small bulb like above. Push the part in the red circle and pull out the bulb holder out of the socket.
- LIGHT WIRING INSTALLATION TIPS
Then you will see the socket with 2 connection. Put the wyre of the LED strip light inside each terminal of the connection like above. Make sure both wyre is not touching each other. Then try to switch on your lamp and look whether the LED strip light is on or not. If not, it means the polarity of positive and negative terminal connection is wrong. Change the connection on the other hand and test to see if the LED strip is on or not. After LED strip is illuminated, it shows that you have the correct connection and polarity. Insert back the Bulb holder to the socket above slowly. You must cut the end of wyre terminal of LED strip light at least 2 inches to make sure it is fit properly inside the socket terminal. Make sure the wyres are not touching each other.
- FLEXIBLE LED STRIP LIGHT WIRING
You will see the result after inserting the bulb holder like top above picture. Then secure the connection by using wiring selotape like bottom of above picture. Before securing it, make sure the wyre is not touching each other at all time and test again the illumination of the LED strip light.
- FLEXIBLE LED STRIP
Then you can place the LED strip light anywhere by using double sided tape after you put back the bulb holder into the headlamp by pushing and turning it clockwise.
