Supercars often comes with high capacity engine. The high capacity means there is much more gas to burn.As we know, the product of engine combustion is harmful to the environment, making supercar one of environmentalist enemy. But for now, they wont have to worry anymore, as more car will come in electric.
The car featured here is called e2, it is the work of a German firm called e-Wolf which currently builds the e1, a lightweight one-seater sports car with a 110kW / 147HP electric motor that recalls the Lotus Seven. The pictures included here is the rendering of th e2 which is scheduled to be introduced into market in 2011.
The two seater’s exterior appearance looks a fusion of styling traits from an array of supercar models including the Ferrari Enzo (especially up front), various Lamborghini and even the Spada Conatronca concept.
e-Wolf said that the car will weigh in at around 900kg or 1,985 lbs with power being provided by four 100kW / 134HP electric motors, one for each wheel (just like Audi e-Tron concept), delivering a combined peak torque of close to 1,000Nm or 737.6 lb-ft.
The battery used in the German supercar will allow the dirver to driver for more than 300km and the company claims that the battery can be charged in a little over half an hour.
