Dodge Viper is one of the best American Supercar. The viper is famous for its speed and its agility on the track.Production has not ended for this model.In fact,they had unveiled their latest race prepped Viper, the SRT10 ACR-X which is based on the Viper ACR.
Driving it on the road is impossible since the ACR-X is a track only race car. It was built to compete in the Viper Racing League, the Sports Car Club of America, and the National Auto Sport Association.
The race car is equpped with an enormous 8.4 liter v10 engine which churns out a total of 640 horsepower, 40hp extra than the standard model.For total control of the car, the ACR-X is equipped with a specially tuned sports suspension plus an 160 pound of weight reduction in comparison to its standard model.
To get the best possible time in the track, the car aerodynamics has been greatly improved for increased downforce. A set of rollcage, fuel cell and race seats proved that the ACR-X is a full track car.
The race car was tested at the world famous Laguna Seca track which the car managed to clock 1:31:00 average, almost 3 seconds faster than the standard production model which clocked an average lap time of 1:33:944.
