Malaysia is not like other countries. Not many people in this country are rich. When we talk about supercars, people will relate it with the rich, vip or famous people.Let’s have a look at some of the best known manufacturers of mouth watering four-wheeled creations, also known as supercars.
I’ll give Ferrari as an example first, a brand created out of a sentiment of pure vengeance and competitiveness between two men who have become the symbols of Italian supercar making. Ferrari used to be a pure bred manufacturer before whoring themselves with the fashionable and trendy California coupe/cabriolet. Apart from that, they are now starting to think about the future from a CO2 emissions point of view, not just from the very fast they used to be.Other Italian supercars are Maserati and Lamborghini.
Usually, a supercar’s main ingredients consist of obliterating performance, exquisite looks and of course, exclusivity. Obviously, each of these ingredients has its own recipe. But, what does a supercar have to possess in order for people to consider that it has a “soul”? Well, not long ago it only had to sport a Lamborghini badge on it. Nowadays? Much more than that right?
According to Wikipedia, Supercar is a term generally used for high-end sports cars, whose performance is superior to that of its contemporaries. It has been defined specifically as “a very expensive, fast or powerful car with a centrally located engine”, and stated in more general terms: “it must be very fast, with sporting handling to match”, “it should be sleek and eye-catching” and its price should be “one in a rarefied atmosphere of its own”, but the correct usage of the term is both subjective and disputed, especially amongst enthusiasts. The use of the term can be dependent on the era; a vehicle that may have been considered a supercar in one decade may not be considered the same in another. The term supercar may refer to factory-built, street-legal race cars. Some vehicles referred to as supercars include features required for race cars such as roll cages.

This Audi R8 stands on an ultra-light MTM Bimoto light wheels at 9X30 and 11X20 inches. Power were up to 560hp from the standard 420hp through the MTM compressor. The exhaust were also upgraded with valve control which now outputs to four black ceramic coated end pips.
This particular G-Power Hurricane CS based on the M6 coupe is fitted with twin-supercharged BMW M V10 engine, boosting 750hp or 800Nm of torque. This car will go from 0-100km/h in 4.4s, passing the 200kn/h mark in 9.6s, and reaching 300km/h after 26s.
The extremely beautiful LP560-4 is now available in both closed coupé form and in stunning Spyder version, but Automobili Lamborghini SpA decided it was time to introduce a new evolution of their very successful V10 model. They call it the LP550-2, for 550 horsepower that is put on the rear wheels only this time, no more four wheel traction on this new model, a departure from the fashion that has been set in 2001 with the intro of the Murciélago V12 flagship, as since it’s unveiling there hasn’t been another Lamborghini that didn’t put it’s power on all four wheels.
Jom komen!
