BMW Malaysia launched its All New X3 Sports Activity Vehicle SAV with Four-cylinder diesel in the BMW xDrive20d. 380 Nm torque and 135 kW (184 hp) are performance figures that few engines can boast. Achieving them while consuming just 5.6 l/100 km and producing only 149 g/km CO2 is something only the BMW xDrive20d can do.

BMW Group Malaysia expects the launch of its all-new BMW X3 sports activity vehicle (SAV) will contribute to the continued growth of the BMW brand in Malaysia.
Its managing director, Geoffrey Briscoe, said the company has sold 810 vehicles — 744 BMW, 40 MINI and 26 Motorrad — during the first two months of 2011.
“This is an overall growth of 29 per cent compared with the same period last year where we sold 629 vehicles,” he said in a statement Monday.
The retail price for the BMW X3 xDrive20d — on the road, without insurance, with BMW service inclusive and repair, starts from RM348,800.
The service programme offers peace of mind BMW ownership and provides cover from three years from its original registration date or 60,000km, which ever comes first.

To make this possible, the four-cylinder unit applies the same technology as its six-cylinder stable-mate. Common-rail injection that uses extremely high pressure to create greater efficiency and smooth, quiet running. A turbocharger that boosts power and torque at every speed. And additional honing of all contact surfaces that reduces friction losses by 3.5 per cent compared to its predecessor. Together, these result in a 16 per cent gain in efficiency. Equipping the BMW xDrive20d with the eight-speed automatic transmission Steptronic improves these results even further, lowering CO2 emissions and enhancing driving comfort.
