800BHP SWITZER PERFORMANCE KIT FOR THE PORSCHE GT2

Switzer, an american based tuner is tweaking more and more supercar. Previous models which they had tune includes a 700 hp fully-automatic 997 turbo which runs 10 second on a quarter mile strip and on March, they had tweaked the Nissan R35 GTR to 800bhp. And the best thing is it runs on Ron 93 fuel, well if you have a supercar, do you really concern about the fuel prices?

Back to Switzer, this time they had get their hand dirty on the Porsche GT2.They had introduced a performance package which is good up to 800 hp. And like the GTR, this one also runs on RON 93.To make it possible they had fitted a Garret GT30R trubochargers.

The Garret GT30R-based turbochargers have been upgraded. They compress massive amounts of air and generate plenty of heat which is cooled using custom Switzer intercooler. The engine gets its air from larger injectors and custom intake airlets. One of the tuner’s proudest pieces is the exhaust system which has been upgraded to handle all this extra power.Switzer also boasts that this is a truly bolt-on system because the factory ECU has been kept intact.

Switzer’s stated goal for the GT2 project was 800 crank horsepower on 93 octane pump gas with an efficient, linear power curve that efficiently put power to the ground and didn’t punish the driver with sudden spikes in torque and power. One look at the final dyno results (from the video) reveals those goals have been met. “We were very happy to hit our target numbers, of course, but the best part is that the car is still so manageable on the street, at this power level. It is an everyday hyper-performing exotic, and I can’t wait to get it out on the track and see how it performs in the hands of a really talented driver.”
