2012 HONDA CIVIC SI COUPE
Honda has unveiled the Honda Civic Si Concept Coupe ant the Honda Civic Concept Sedan at the 2011 North American International Auto Show that showed the styling direction of the ninth-generation Civic model which will go on sale spring 2011.
The 2012 Civic will be available in few ranges i.e. a sedan and a coupe with conventional gasoline models, two sporty “Si” performance versions, one hybrid and a natural gas alternative-fuel model.
At the exterior, the Civic features steeply raked windshield, wide stances, 3D look front fender surface with deeply set headlights. The Si Coupe meanwhile has a more aggressive look with its angular front fascia, mesh grille and a tapered rear roof line and it is fitted with a rear air diffuser, a center-mounted exhaust outlet and a rear deck lid spoiler with dual vents. Both concepts stand on 19-inch machined alloy wheels.

The new Civic will also be powered by a more fuel efficient “intelligent” Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC) engine while the Civic Hybrid features the latest generation of the compact and lightweight Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) gasoline-electric hybrid system that uses lithium-ion battery.
The Civic also comes with Honda Eco Assist, already available in the CR-Z and Insight hybrid, that can be customized and configured by the drivers to suit individual preferences to save fuel.
Standard safety features for the 2012 Civic are Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure for frontal collision energy management.
