2011 AUDI QUATTRO COUPE CONCEPT
According to company, the Audi quattro coupe concept has been given the green light for limited production. Sources say that a single engineering prototype, based on the Audi S5, has been built by the company’s quattro division.
The Audi Quattro Coupe prototype weighs 300 kh (661 pounds) less than the RS5, despite using basically the same drivetrain and running gear. Insiders say that we can expect to see the production Audi quattro coupe to launch in 2013.
Power for the Audi quattro concept comes from a turbocharged 5-cylinder engine making 408-hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the new quattro concept runs from 0-62 mp in 3.9 seconds. TheAudi quattro concept uses the same underpinnings of the Audi RS5 but sits on a wheelbase that measures 5.91 inches shorter. Weight comes in at 2,866.01 lbs, which is roughly 440.92 lbs lighter than the Audi TT RS.
2011 MOPAR DODGE CHARGER LIMITED EDITION
The Charger factory-customized version of the rear-wheel drive Dodge saloon follows in the footsteps of last year’s Mopar ’10 Challenger and will be a limited edition model. “After the success of our Mopar ’10 Challenger, we moved on to the iconic Dodge Charger and added even more performance,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand.
Next with, “As a new company, we will continue to leverage the heritage of the Mopar brand at every turn.” For the time being, we only get a single illustration of the Mopar ’11 Charger as the Detroit automaker said it will release details of the vehicle later this month. However, the picture reveals that the special edition Charger will keep the Mopar ’10 Challenger’s black color scheme with contrasting racing stripes and gloss black alloy wheels along with a variety of other Mopar enhancements.
