2011 ABT AUDI R8 GTS
VW Group specialist ABT unveiled a 600HP version of the Audi R8 V10 Spyder at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Audi R8 with an updated tune on Ingolstadt’s flagship roadster model featuring 620 ponies and a red and black styling theme.
The German tuning house returned to this year’s edition of the Swiss puts a red paint finish contrasted by the use of carbon fiber parts in the middle section of the car. The front skirt, rear skirt, windscreen frame cover, red air scoops and the engine compartment are all made of carbon fiber, which is said to help reduce the car’s weight by an unspecified amount. The sports car also rides on a new set of wheels, available in 19-inch or 20-inch sizes.
Finally ABT Audi R8 GT S a performance kit that includes a sports exhaust system lifts the 5.2-liter V10?s output from 525Hp to 620HP allowing the car to complete the standard 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h (199mph). A more taut suspension system completes the package.
2011 NISSAN 370Z GT EDITON
Nissan’s announcement on the presentation of the updated for European market 370Z Coupe at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. For the new model year, Nissan introduces a number of suspension, transmission and equipment improvements for the entire 370Z Coupe range while also adding a new trim level to the range called the GT Edition.
Also at enhanced through revisions to underbody insulation to reduce road noise. Equipment upgrades come in the form of a new rear view-parking camera as part of the Nissan Premium Connect satellite navigation option and the standard fitment of a tire pressure monitoring system.
For 2011 model, Nissan 370Z GT Edition is offers three different body colors – metallic black, pearl white and Black Rose, the latter shade being exclusive to the GT Edition, with each featuring contrasting stripes running along the flanks of the car. The exterior is set off by the standard 19inch RAYS forged alloy wheels, which are finished in a dramatic anthracite color and replace the standard 18-inch rims.
The optionally available seven-speed automatic transmission gains a snow mode which, when applied, starts the car off in second gear and controls engine revs to prevent wheel spin on ice or snow.
The 370Z Coupe gets performance upgrades, it is benefits from retuned dampers which promise to provide a better balance between ride comfort and high-speed handling. Nissan said that due to the higher average speeds regularly enjoyed in Europe, technicians from Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) engineered these changes.
