Today, we would like to bring to you some hot news for the Malaysians.The 1Malaysia-Lotus F1 Team has uncovered the first shots of its Formula One car.The Norfolk-located outfit has already designed a full scale model of its contender as windtunnel testing begins.
It is a good start for the 1Malaysia – Lotus F1 Team.It started as a dream but the dream is becoming more of a reality now.The start of any windtunnel testing is an important step in the development of a new Formula One car.

The Malaysian team, funded by AirAsia tycoon Tony Fernandes, is currently based in the RTN facility in UK but plans to set up a factory at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit in the near future.After they establish their Malaysian facilities in Sepang,they will still keep a small UK base which will give them a logistical advantage when they are racing within Europe.
“The longer-term vision is to create a centre of technical excellence at the Sepang circuit, which we have already started planning together with Tony Fernandes and his associates,” Mike Gascoyne said.Gascoyne is currently in Malaysia interviewing potential employees for technical roles. They are also recruising various other personnel in the fields of admin, marketing and PR.
