In Dubai, we have the opportunity to sit in the Volkswagen Polo R WRC that will enter the 2013 World Rally Championship.Details are light on the Polo R WRC, but it’s assumed that it’ll have around 300-hp to all four wheels. Volkswagen clearly knows they have their work cut out for them to compete against veterans Ford and Citroen in WRC, but they’re clearly taking the initiative in ensuring they have a fighting chance.
This week, VW has signed ex Junior World Rally Championship champion, Sebastien Ogier to help them develop the Polo R WRC for the 2013 WRC entry.Ogier, 27, left Citroen with a year remaining on his contract.
