Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTem / KUTKM) SIGNED MOU WITH AEROSPACE & AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) has partnered with two aerospace companies and an automotive company to conduct research and development (R&D) in the aerospace and automotive industry.
The two aerospace companies were Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTRM) and Hampshire Aerospace Sdn Bhd while the automotive company was DreamEdge Sdn Bhd.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between UTeM and the three companies was witnessed by UTeM chairman Datuk Dr Mohd Taib Hashim at UTeM main campus, Durian Tunggal near here on Wednesday.
UTeM was represented by vice chancellor Prof Dr Ahmad Yusoff Hassan, CTRM by chief executive officer Datuk Rosdi Mahmud, Hampshire Aerospace by chairman Tan Sri Omar Ibrahim and DreamEdge by chief executive officer Khairil Adri Adnan.
Dr Ahmad Yusoff said the cooperation with the three companies also include the commercialisation of products created by the university’s researchers.
He said the UTeM-CTRM cooperation involve exchange of information, staff, training, technology transfer and development and joint research.
The cooperation with Hampshire Aerospace was in aerospace component machining while DreamEdge was in engineering research data management.
