We always hear about Honda Civic Hybrid and also Toyota Prius Hybrid. But, how about Toyota Camry Hybrid?. Not all of you heard about it right?. I’m sure that some of you will become excited when heard about Toyota Camry Hybrid. Developed by Toyota Style Australia, the HC-CV (Hybrid Camry Concept Vehicle) had its world premiere in the 2009 Melbourne International Motor Show.
This Camry Hybrid will be produced early in 2010 at the Toyota’s Altona car factory in Victoria.
It echoes the latest Toyota Hybrid styling cues, with vertical fog lamps, larger lower opening and a streamlined upper grille. The crisp corners indicate aerodynamic efficiency. Toyota logos have a blue background, and the rear LED lamps also have a blue tone. Some of the lights’ lenses have a waterfall graphic on them as well.
A body kit including side skirts, rear diffuser and spoiler complete the body modifications and the whole thing’s painted in satin while pearl with translucent blue logos.
For the interior, highlights of metallic blue have been applied asymmetrically to the seats in a wave-like graphic reminiscent of the Hybrid Synergy Drive logo.
The wheels are a combination of shear, overlayed surfaces and graphics.
The Australian Camry will most probably come with the same powertrain as its American counterpart as part of its Hybrid Synergy Drive System: a 2.4-liter petrol engine paired with a continuously adaptable transmission with an EPA fuel-consumption rate of 7 liters/100km in city driving and 6.9 liters/100km highway.
Let’s wait and see together as the production model Toyota Camry Hybrid is due out within a year’s time.
Jom komen!
