KUALA LUMPUR: North-South Expressway (PLUS) users who pay toll electronically will enjoy a 20% rebate in conjunction with the Christmas celebration on Tuesday.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad chief operations officer Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said the rebate, besides a Yuletide festival gesture, was also a strategy of PLUS to distribute traffic at its toll stations as well as to promote usage of the highway on non-peak days.
“PLUS customers who pay toll electronically using PLUSMiles card, Touch n Go card and SmartTag will enjoy the rebate throughout the day and not limited to any specific period,” he said in a statement here Thursday.
He said motorists could claim the rebate when they reload their PLUSMiles or Touch n Go cards from Feb 1 to April 30 next year at all customer service centres at PLUS expressway.
He said the rebate was however not applicable for toll paid at toll plazas in Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam, Sultan Iskandar Building and the Penang Bridge.
“We urge members of the public to reload their PLUSMiles or Touch n Go cards early and pay their toll electronically to expedite toll payment transaction,” he said.
PLUS is projecting total traffic to increase by 25 percent to 1.5 million vehicles daily on the North-South Expressway during the coming holiday season. -Bernama
