Saab 9X Air Concept
Swedish car maker Saab has decided to lift the covers off their new 9X Air Concept – a two-door, soft-top convertible based on the 9X BioHybrid concept – ahead of its official unveiling at next month’s Paris Motor Show
Powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged flex-fuel motor and electric assistance motor mated to a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the Concept car is able to reach 100 km/h from rest in around 8 seconds – not bad for a fuel conscious vehicle that consumes 40mpg or around 5.9 litres per 100km of petrol.
Slated for production bearing the 9-1 nameplate, the front-wheeler is set to be previewed at one of the world’s most glamorous motor show’s in October with more information including tech specs to become available thereafter.
