Saab unveiled the Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show which shows what a future compact car from Saab could look like.
The Saab 9-X BioHybrid is powered by a GM next-generation Hybrid system 1.4 liter BioPower turbo engine producing 200 hp (147 kW) and 280 Nm of torque. The hybrid engine is mated to a 6-speed automated clutch manual gearbox. The CO2 emissions is at just 105 g/km on E85 fuel.
The design of the 9-X BioHybrid Concept was inspired by the Aero X coupe concept unveiled 2 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show which feature smooth ‘fuselage’ bodywork i.e. without any visible handles or door mirrors, the bold ‘wraparound’ window graphic and deep front grille.
On the interior, the Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept features 4 seats, driver-focused cockpit design, Sony Ericsson in-car connectivity, an electrically-powered slide-out floor at the rear and also white ambient lighting inside the cabin.
Below are the specifications of the Saab 9-X BioHybrid Concept from the press release.
