Proton Edar To Increase Mobile Assist Units
SHAH ALAM, Sept 22 (Bernama) — Proton Edar Sdn Bhd will increase its mobile units under the “Proton i.Care 24hours Assist,” to 31 from 25 currently as part of efforts to boost customer satisfaction.
Its chief executive officer Mohamad Shukor Ibrahim said it planned to extend the service in the northern, eastern and southern regions by engaging qualified and authorised service dealers.
“We want to reach out to a wider market and this will reflect our commitment to quality after sales services,” he told reporters at the soft launch of “Proton i.Care 24hours Assist” new image Monday.
The “Proton i.Care 24hours Assist” service aims to provide roadside vehicle assistance, inspection and repairs to all Proton customers.
Mohamad Shukor said “Proton i.Care 24hours Assist” team members would be wearing orange uniform and driving Proton Personas to signify new and improved services to customers.
Currently, the team consists of 25 trained technicians, operates 24 hours and seven days a week to provide assistance to Proton customers who call toll free number 1800 888 398.
The “Proton i.Care 24hours Assist” would introduce more value-added service to customers such as free eight-point car inspection, free “Daring Club” membership and a complimentary drop off at the nearest public transport station if their car was towed away.
Mohamad Shukor said the company would station its mobile units at six locations along major highways on Sept 27 and 28 for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays to handle on-the-spot minor service.
The locations include Tapah Rest & Recreation Area, Lingkaran Karak, New Klang Valley Expressway, Air Keroh South Bound, Kuala Berang and Bentong Rest Area.
“Our team offers free 18-point basic inspection such as inspection on the car’s basic function, oil and fluid level, air-conditioning system and alarm system,” he said.
