    The Proton’s ‘Drive for Celebration’ campaign will be running until September 30, 2010.Read the full news from Motortrader below.


    In conjunction with Proton’s 25th anniversary celebration this year, the company is running the ‘Drive for Celebration’ campaign from July 15 until September 30, 2010. There are two contests in the campaign – one for those who book a new Proton during the promotional period and another for those who have their new Proton registered within the promotional period.

    For the former, details must be submitted via SMS after which three questions will be sent in a return SMS and correct answers have to be submitted within the shortest time possible. The monthly prize for this contest is RM1,000 worth of service vouchers which can be redeemed at Proton Edar service branches. 25 winners will be selected monthly for the monthly prize based on shortest time taken to answer the questions correctly.

    The second contest for those who buy a new Proton requires spending a minimum of RM250 (in one receipt) at any of Proton Edar’s service branches or its authorised service dealer outlets and then going to the Proton Edar website to take part in a contest. The Grand Prize for this contest is a Proton Persona 25th Anniversary Edition worth RM69,500 (but the winner has to bear the cost of registration, roadtax and insurance). The contest is only for those who purchase the vehicle for private registration.

    During the campaign period until September 30, 2010, there will also be ‘Great Balik Kampung Deals’ which will entitle Proton owners to a 50% discount on labour charges for selected parts (brake pads, shock absorbers, clutch kit, timing belts and engine mountings). The discount will only be available those who service their car at Proton Edar’s service branches or its authorised service dealers utilising any of the ProCare Packages available, i.e ProCare Basic, ProCare Regular, ProCare Smart or ProCare Advance. Owners who spend a minimum of RM250 in a single receipt will also be eligible to participate in the second contest mentioned earlier.

    “The ‘Drive for Celebration’ campaign is a way for us to give back to Malaysians for their support and loyalty to Proton after 25 years,” said Proton Holdings Group MD, Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir. “We don’t just produce and sell cars but more than that, we’d like to stay close to the owner’s heart after the purchase is made.”

    “The timing of this campaign also coincides with the Hari Raya Aidilifitri celebration, which makes it even more timely and appealing,” he added.
