PKINK TO SET UP RM5.4 MILLION ONE STOP AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTRE
Perbadanaan Kemajuan Iktisad Negeri Kelantan (PKINK) plans to set up an automotive service centre in the state to help Bumiputera entrepreneurs to be on par with the non-Bumiputeras.
PKINK executive director, Wan Yahya Wan Salleh, said the RM5.4 million centre, called Darulnaim Autocity, would be managed entirely by Bumiputera entrepreneurs.
“Darulnaim Autocity will help Bumiputeras in the state venture into the automotive sector which is monopolised by non-Bumiputeras.
“The centre will offer good services and will be equipped with modern facilities. It will be a forerunner to the setting up of the one-stop automotive centre,” he told a media briefing after the launch of Darulnaim Autocity here Wednesday.
He said the centre would be built on a 0.93-hectare site owned by PKINK in Pengkalan Chepa near here.
Wan Yahya said Darulnaim Autocity has the potential to become National Vocational Training Council training centre in the automotive field.
“It will also open job opportunities for Bumiputera graduates from industrial training institutes, Mara’s Giat centres and polytechnics.
“They will be trained to become competitive and successful entrepreneurs,” he said.
