Nissan Malaysia, Tan Chong Motor just released it’s new crossover from Nissan grand Livina, the Nissan Livina X-Gear which have more aggressive looks like a compact SUV. The Nissan Livina X-Gear is a 5 seater version which share same platform, interior and exterior accessories with grand Livina. It is lighter by 100kg. Uses the same 1.6 litre aluminium engine that has aroun 13.8km/litre of fuel consumption.

The new model, based on the Grand Livina platform, shares a number of common parts with the Grand Livina MPV but it’s moulded like a crossover and seats five instead of seven people.
The Livina X-Gear is differentiated by an aggressive front grille, bumpers with silver sump guards, muscular over-fenders, side mouldings with silver finishers and roof rails.
Seats and door trim are wrapped in “Tartan” fabric. Rear seats fold 60:40 to double the luggage space from 383 litres to 769 litres.
Boot space is said to be more than the Suzuki SX4 and Honda Jazz. Fuel consumption is claimed to be 13.8km/litre. Safety features in the crossover include two airbags, ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist.
It uses the same 1.6-litre all-aluminium four-cylinder engine as the 1.6-litre Grand Livina variant, making 103bhp at 5,200rpm and peak torque of 150Nm at 4,400rpm.
The Livina X-Gear – the first locally assembled B-segment crossover – has a four-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the Grand Livina, it is 100kg lighter, is shorter by 150mm but has the same ground clearance at 180mm and same wheelbase at 2,600mm.
The roof rail has a load carrying capacity of 25kg.
The vehicle is available in five colours: Tungsten Silver, Twilight Grey, Brilliant White, Supreme Black and Sunburst Orange.
The Livina X-Gear is priced at RM82,800 (OTR with insurance).
The distributor is offering low interest hire purchase rates from 0.88%pa. Livina X-Gear buyers will also receive a free Solar Gard Armorcoat tinting package worth RM1,400 during the promotion period, which ends on Oct 30.
