KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) — Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which sold 4,414 units of its vehicles in Malaysia in 2007, expects a 60 percent increase this year based on rising demand.
Chief executive officer, Keizo Ono said for the first seven months of this year, Mitsubishi Malaysia had sold 4,123 units and in July alone, the sale was 888 units.
“So, the target is not too difficult for us,” he told reporters after the launch of the new Lancer Evolution here Thursday.
The Lancer Evolution features a new engine as well as interior and exterior designs.
Ono said Mitsubishi Malaysia was looking to sell 50 units of the Lancer Evolution this year.
The car is available at selected showrooms from tomorrow with an on-the-road price without insurance of RM315,436.10.
Mitsubishi has so far received 30 bookings for the car.
