LEXUS RX 350 IS THE 1000TH CAR SOLD BY LEXUS MALAYSIA

Lexus Malaysia, a division of UMW Toyota Motor, has sold 1,000 units of its models yesterday since launching the brand at the end of 2006.
 

 Lexus Malaysia president Kuah Kock Heng said the achievement is important as the brand is young and new in this country.

“This is a big achievement for Lexus brand as it has only been around in the country for just three years and operating from only one showroom up till early of this year.

“It also shows that Lexus vehicles have been well accepted by our Malaysian customers and more importantly they have accepted a true Lexus experience,” Kuah said in a statement yesterday.

For 2010, Lexus Malaysia has already reached more than 70 per cent of its target selling 400 units.

  
The RX 350 was the 1,000th Lexus unit sold.

Introduced in March last year, the RX 350 is a vehicle that promises to live up to the pioneering spirit and has both characteristics of a sport utility vehicle with ride features of a luxury sedan.

Kuah said Lexus Malaysia is also positive with its plans for the rest of 2010 with the opening of Lexus 3S center in Penang earlier this year and at a later stage in Johor.

“We can achieve our sales target and grow our market share in the premium market segment by constantly reinforcing the perfection engineered into all its vehicles that enables drivers to make the most of every moment in their car.

” In the next few months, Lexus Malaysia will continue to en-hance further our product line-up,” Kuah said.

Established in the early 1980s Lexus has a global presence in over 60 countries and belongs to Japan’s Toyota family of motor vehicles. In Malaysia, Lexus is a division of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd.
