     News Update on Geneva Autoshow:
All of the major manufacturers have already confirmed their participation at the 2010 Geneva International Motor Show. The poster for the 80th Show, inspired by motion and light, has been created by the Atelier Pfund.
The preparations for the 2010 Geneva International Motor show are well underway. Since all of the major manufacturers have already committed to being there, we can look forward to another outstanding event. The total exhibition surface of GENEVA PALEXPO has been allocated. There will also be several new marques from emerging markets, such as China and India.

In order to develop a visual identity for this event, each year a number of agencies and artists are invited to participate in a competition to present their ideas. This year, the jury has chosen an artist from Geneva to provide the illustration for the 2010 Show.

Roger Pfund is a painter and graphic artist born in Bern, who established his studio for visual communications in Geneva since 1971. Asked about his ideas for the creation of his illustration, he responds that:  ”At a time of great uncertainty, we have chosen to take a poetic route. Lights in the night, a route following your fantasies, thinking about travelling at whatever speed you desire, your imagination taking you away, with fireworks illuminating the darkness.”

This graphic design will be used in all the national and international communications for the 2010 Geneva International Motor Show and will include the logos of our sponsoring partners, the Swiss railway company CFF and Gasmobil, the principal sponsors of the official website, www.salon-auto.ch.
