EUROMOBIL TARGETS TO SELL 400 AUDI CARS
Euromobil Sdn Bhd, the local importer and distributor of Audi vehicles, is targeting to sell 400 units of Audi cars by end of this year.
“We have sold about 230 units last year, and we are expecting to top that amount by about 70 to 75 percent this year,” said chief executive officer Stanley Tan at the launch of the Audi Q5 sports utility vehicle (SUV) today.
Tan said the new Audi Q5 is a performance SUV that combined the dynamics of a sports sedan with a versatile interior, and is priced at RM299,000 on the road without insurance.
He said the Audi Q5 and the A4 sedan would be the main models contributing to the company’s total sales.
“About 70 percent of sales will be generated by these two models and for the Audi Q5 alone, we expect it to contribute 100 units of sales to our target,” he added.
Euromobil is reactivating its 3S centre located in Penang by end of this week and another 3S centre in Johor Baharu will open in mid-July.
Currently, the company has a 3S centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
In addition, a new Audi showroom located within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle is due to open by September this year.
On Euromobil’s advertising and promotion activities, Tan said the company had spent a substantial amount in its efforts to build up the brand in line with Audi’s vision to be the top premium brand car maker by 2015.
“We have put up a lot of billboards around strategic locations and we are going to spend more but we will be spending wisely and prudently,” said Euromobil’s chairman Datuk Syed Hisham Syed Wazir.
“With the huge investment we have made, hopefully by next year we would be able to break even,” he said.
Euromobil, a wholly owned subsidiary of Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd, is responsible for the sales, service and supply of Audi products in Malaysia.
