Today I am gonna share some usefull info regarding how to make a black base or well known as smoked head lamp for your own car. This article is originally from one of Malaysian car owner who DIY (Do It Yourself) a smoke headlamp on his ride, Perodua Kelisa. All steps are pretty same with other car model like Proton Saga, Gen2, persona, Perdana or Perodua Myvi, Viva & Kenari. So lets take a look at how you can have it with the cheapest low cost on modifying it yourself.

Basically, you just need a black spray paint, screw driver and a silicon sealant glue.
The simple steps are : Removing your headlamp, opening your headlamp glass, covering the reflector, spraying, attaching the glass back and install your headlamp.

How to remove bumper first? Use the screw driver and open each point of your bumper attachment. Those red circles are the screw attaching the bumper to the body… after remove the bumper screw…remove those green screw…those are the headlight screw…each headlight got 3 screw…

This is after separated the light. Use hair dryer to blow at the gap between rear n front pieces of the light. Or you can use your oven to heat your headlamp. Then use a flat head screw driver and slowly separate it. Pour abit of boiling hot water at the silicon to soften it then faster separate the light.

After separated it…tape and cover the reflector…remember to check and see any left out…if not u will accidentally spray your light reflector….

Spray the reflector with RM5 FLAT BLACK color. No need to sand paper the reflector. Just wipe it with clean cloth to make sure no dust or dirt.
After spray, remove all those tape and pump abit of transparent silicon (RM8.90 bought at hardware shop) then attach back the rear n front pieces of the headlight.
The cost:
Spray = RM 5
Silicon Sealant = RM8.90
Silicon Sealant = RM8.90
Total cost = RM13.80!
So, dare to try?
It looks easy but once you did it, you will know it is quite hard actually especially when removing the glass cover from the headlamp. Be carefull of all your steps to DIY it. If you are not confident, leave it to profesional person the smoke headlamp maker who can do it for you which will cost around RM100-RM120. Yes, the service is quite expensive due to it is not so easy to make it plus the risk to remove the glass from your headlamp which will break or have a leaking after installation.

smoke lamp ni lampu yang ada colour hitam kat dalamnya. selalu kan warna chrome di dalam lampu tu. tapi sekarang dah jadi trend orang buat lampu kereta yang dalam die warna hitam. nampak lebih sporty dan ganas. macam dkat atas tu la.

Actually you can prevent the water to trap inside by using the correct sealant glue. It is not a confirm statement that the water will trap after you open the headlamp glass.
ade member bgth, sealant nak pakai, kena pakai yg khas punya, brand ape tak tahu, kena tanya kedai kereta.. kalau pakai sealant yg biasa2 je, mmg nampak cam kemas je seal dia, nampak cun, tapi mesti ade wap jugak nanti, buat kabur dalam lampu tu, sebab sesetengah sealant ni masih boleh serap wap air time hujan, dan boleh menyebabkan ade kondensasi terutamanya selepas hujan di tgh2 hari…
Kalo pake headlamp lampu standar bisa d pake tidak gan
