Are you planning to install RPM meter, or any additional meter to your car? Which one is better? The digital or analog meter? It depends on your needs. Some people would like to install RPM meter to give a great look inside the car. In that case, the analog RPM meter with needle and background numbers is most suitable. I would prefer to install the digital RPM meter because it gives accurate value of your car engine RPM. This is good for those who like to maintain the speed on highway and monitor engine RPM accurately.
DIGITAL VS ANALOG METER INSTALLATION?
This is just another fun stuff to be fitted in your car which will cost around RM100-150 with installation. Some of he RPM meter have gear shift LED light which gives you an indication when to change gear at certain RPM. It can be set to any engine RPM. It helps you to give accurate 0-100 acceleration time with perfect gear shifting for manual transmission car.

How to install RPM meter? Most of workshop in Klang valley did not know how to make a connection of RPM meter into Proton’s campro engine. Some said it is impossible to make it with campro engine. Above picture is one of the connection point of RPM meter for campro IAFM.
The green wire is the wire routed from the RPM meter connected with signal wire from campro engine. It is located near the dashboard (firewall) inside the engine bay. Follow the Wiring diagram meter installation. However, the value for campro engine needs to multiply by 2. For example at idle, it indicates 450 which is actually 900RPM. For those who have a better solution and wiring connection can share here.
