After World War II, gasoline was in short supply in Japan. So Nissan got creative and, in 1947, we launched our first electric car. Built of wood and encased in steel, the Tama was an ingenious car for its time, capable of travelling 96.3km on a single charge and with a top speed of 32mph. You could say innovation is in our DNA!
