BUKIT AMAN POLICE CALL SCAM
Police have begun investigations into reports from the public against telephone callers claiming to be from the Bukit Aman police headquarters offering to slash their traffic summonses. Federal police assistant director of management (Public Relations) ACP Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said police have received lately over 50 complaints daily from the public over calls from 03-2266 2222, 03-2266 3444 and several other telephone numbers of the Bukit Aman police headquarters. He said in a statement that most of the complainants had been asked whether they wanted to have their traffic summonses reduced and told that the lower payments could be paid into the bank accounts of the callers
