BMW TELESERVICES INTRODUCED BY BMW MALAYSIA
BMW Malaysia has introduced a new service for BMW vehicle owners, BMW TeleServices, which automatically allows their cars to “communicate” their service needs to a BMW server when a particular service is due.
When this information is triggered, the customer’s dealership of choice will then contact the owner to set a convenient time for the required service within 24-48 hours.
The first of its kind in Malaysia, the service will be enjoyed by all BMW owners with vehicles that come with bluetooth preparation and navigation professional system, beginning this March, BMW Malaysia said in a statement.
Its Corporate Affairs Manager, Vijayaratnam Tharumartnam said the functionality of BMW TeleServices will able to ensure more road time for the driver, and at the same time allow customers to enjoy access to high-calibre technology and services.
He said the on-board Condition Based Service (CBS) maintenance system will allow the car to determine the due service date and the type of service required.
Besides, since BMW TeleServices provides a specific service profile for each vehicle, this will allow the dealership to prepare all the necessary spare parts ready prior the service date.
BMW TeleServices is part of BMW ConnectedDrive services, and more features are expected to be rolled-out by the company in Malaysia this year.
