BMW GROUP MALAYSIA LAUNCHES NEW SPORT ACTIVITY VEHICLE.
KUALA LUMPUR, August 4 — BMW Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd today introduced a new version of the original sports activity vehicle (SAV), the BMW X5, in conjunction with the launch of BMW Innovation Days 2010.
Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the BMW X5 sports new engines with improved output and fuel economy, an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard and new equipment features.
“The BMW X5 has been a motoring milestone since its introduction to Malaysia in 2007, and in that time we have sold 427 BMW X5s in Malaysia, making it the most successful premium SAV in the market,” BMW Group Malaysia’s managing director Geoffrey Briscoe said in a statement.
“With the launch of the new models, I am confident that the BMW X5 will continue to lead its segment as the definitive sports activity vehicle,” he said.
BMW Innovation Days 2010 is aimed at showcasing the group’s technological leadership in automotive industry and give opportunity of hand experiences with top-of-line models in the BMW stable.
