AUTO BAVARIA OPENS NEW FACILITY IN KL

Auto Bavaria has opened a new 4S (Sales, Services, Systems and Spare-parts) outlet along Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur. The 4-storey facility is actually on the same site as that occupied by Sapura Motors before so it would be a familiar location. It replaces the previous but smaller facility that was in Bukit Bintang for many years and complements Auto Bavaria outlet’s in Sungei Besi and Segambut.

The new Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur outlet further complies with BMW’s stringent set of international standards and specifications for its dealerships. It has a spacious BMW showroom, a MINI showroom, a dedicated BMW Premium Selection area displaying pre-owned units, sales office, service workshops with a 12 service bay capacity, 4 BMW Fast Lane repair bays as well as a spare parts centre.

Welcoming Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur to the BMW Group dealership network, Geoffrey Briscoe, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said: “With the launch of Auto Bavaria’s newest BMW dealership here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, BMW once again extends our strong presence in the financial and commercial heart of Malaysia. The area is estimated to contribute more than 400 annually to our business and we at BMW anticipate that the new Kuala Lumpur dealership will prove to be a key contributor to our overall performance here in Malaysia.”

In Malaysia, BMW’s performance has continued to grow and the most recent data (August 2010) shows sales of the brand growing by 7.1% to 2,893 units. With sales performance growth expected to continue throughout the remainder of the year, BMW is confident of reaching a total sales figure of 4,000 vehicles by the end of the year.

The introduction of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur marks another achievement in BMW Group Malaysia’s ongoing strategy of growing its dealership network to ensure that BMW customers are provided with improved choice and convenience while catering to its growing customer base. In the past 3 years, BMW Group Malaysia has undertaken numerous dealership initiatives which include the establishment of new BMW and MINI dealerships, refurbishment of existing dealerships, customer engagement activities such as BMW Innovation Days as well as the expansion of BMW Premium Selection, BMW’s pre-owned dealership program.

“Dealerships are where the most important interactions between BMW and our customers occur and with our customer base continuing to grow from strength to strength, it is our ongoing commitment to ensure that BMW customers in Malaysia receive nothing but the very best premium ownership experience” said Mr. Briscoe.
